2026–2027 JTIP Board

Ana Simon is the Editor-in-Chief of the Northwestern Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property. Having always had an interest in film, Ana studied Cinema & Media in college and will be doing Copyright, Trademark, Internet, and Advertising litigation after law school. Ana enjoys cooking, baking, and finding great restaurants. She also loves collecting antique homeware, which comes in handy for hosting dinner parties with friends.

Daniel Villare is the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Northwestern Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property.

CJ Cai is a Managing Articles Editor of the Northwestern Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property. She is interested in transactional law. CJ loves detective novels, especially those by Agatha Christie.

Kaitlin Ratcliff is a Managing Articles Editor of the Northwestern Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property.

Raven Angelique Barbiran is a Managing Executive Editor of the Northwestern Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property. She is interested in entertainment transactions and intellectual property law. Outside of law school, Raven is a professional vocalist who has performed the national anthem for professional sports teams throughout the Bay Area.

Safa Saleem is a Managing Executive Editor of the Northwestern Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property. She is interested in big law restructuring and intellectual property transactions. Safa is an avid home cook and Los Angeles sports fan. She also enjoys traveling and fosters cats for the Anti-Cruelty Society.

Hani Cho is the Managing Notes Editor of the Northwestern Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property. She is interested in intellectual property litigation. Hani enjoys attending Blackhawks games and listening to her favorite artists, including 5SOS and The Runarounds.

Halle Beck is the Production Editor of the Northwestern Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property. She is interested in patent prosecution and technology transactions. Halle enjoys traveling and cooking in her free time.

Mina Baniewicz is the Executive Online Editor of the Northwestern Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property. She is interested in intellectual property and transactional law. Mina enjoys reading classics, distance running, and trying new ice cream flavors.

Kat Balchunas is the Symposium Editor of the Northwestern Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property. She is interested in transactional entertainment law. Kat loves watching films and shows, going to concerts, reading fiction, and baking.
